Welcome to City Brothers FC

In 2019 the club was fortunate enough to receive a grant from the state government for a female facility to a total of $407,000. The grant application was put together by John Nugent & Steven Calicetto With this new facility, City Brothers will have one of the best facilities in Mackay for a non-for-profit organisation. The club is very excited about this grant and we will be ensuring that the project is run professionally and cost effectively.

Since receiving the funding a Sub Committee was formed including John Nugent, Steven Calicetto, Emily Frost, Chris Hocking and James Carless. Along with  the club committee being involved along the way in decision making. The building contract was awarded to Ryan Scott Building and the project is managed by James Carless.

The female facility consists of a mother’s room, a gym, male and female bathrooms with showers, 2 change rooms and a kiosk. The new facility is 406.1m2, which will come in handy for the future of City Brothers Football Club. The new club house will be air conditioned with a projector and surround speakers which will be amazing to watch many sporting events in the future in the comfort of our own home grounds.

The club is continually chasing grants to make City Brothers the best club in Mackay, John Nugent is doing a great job of that as always. Our sponsors and members who have bought a brick have helped out towards completing the club’s goals tremendously. Construction will be complete before the 2021 season kicks off and we will be having a grand opening which all are invited.
